It’s very easy to praise God when the going is good and the good gets better.
But when the storm clouds gather, the last thing we feel like doing is praising God. Yet, this is the very time when we need to lift our voices to Him in praise
I’m not sure a lot of us would want to be in friendships or relationships where we are only shown love or attention when the other party needs our help.
I think that happens when the love isn’t mutual or when there’s lack of respect or the value of the other is diminishing.
But there’s THE difference with God. Have you experienced a relationship where just at the mention of your partner’s name, there’s this joy, peace, excitement in you. A relationship where the name of your partner carries so much weight that you’re given this respect wherever you go.
Or a relationship where your pasts are remembered no more, your present mistakes erased and your future offenses forgiven. Where you’re loved despite your shortcomings as though you’re PERFECT.
This doesn’t even paint the perfect picture of our love relationship with Christ.

God ’s name is a place of protection— good people can run there and be safe.

But often, it’s easier to praise a sunset than the Creator of the sunset.
