It’s a Perfect time for such a post as this is the season to love unconditionally in everything you do. And by everything, I mean everything. From the minute unseen acts to the big acts.
Before you proceed, ask yourself this: am I doing everything in love?
You know, there’s a verse that keeps screaming at me from 1Corinthians 16:14….do everything in love. The message version says love without stopping.
It is pretty easy to do just that when everyone is friendly towards you or when there’s an anticipated reward.
How about if all these were not in the picture, would you still love unconditionally?
I think it’s easy to get to this level, however it’s a gradual process that requires a conscious effort.
Every miracle Jesus performed was driven by love, not because He was going to be rewarded.
I desire this so now, especially now that the demand of work require meeting different people.
I crave for this virtue, so that I can be generous in love when that exasperating patient that gets on my nerve needs me to go an extra mile for him/her.
Or while I’ve been working all day and want to rest my feet, then the woman who cannot get a blood donor requires me to visit the blood bag for a smile that get me the blood freely.
Or when my colleague needs a listening ear for an issue and I need to spare a few minutes from my golden break.
I hope you crave for this kind of love more than I do.
May God help us all.
